Recently, the final of the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest 2023, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, was held in Xiamen. Lanpec Technologies Limited, an enterprise managed by SUMEC Group Corporation (referred to as SUMEC), received the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest 2023 Outstanding Project Award for its project “Development of a Digitized Design Platform for Pressure Vessels Based on Technical Rules”.
Pressure vessels are universal equipment widely used in the process industry of the energy and chemical sectors, with their entire life-cycle technical data primarily derived from design definitions. This project of Lanpec Technologies aims to address the digitization challenges in the design phase of the pressure vessel industry. It plans to develop an integrated design software for pressure vessels that incorporates knowledge, logic, models, graphics, and data. The software will build relationships between product data and databases from dimensions such as product data, models, structures, and graphics. This will need minimal design conditions (requirements) input by design personnel into the software at one time and will enable automatic completion of the entire product design, generation of a complete set of product data, and production of design documents, achieving digitization and automation of the entire design process. The development and application of this project will fill the void in China’s pressure vessel industry for the digitalization of an integrated design system.
