Recently, SUMEC Marine Co., Ltd. (“SUMEC Marine”), a subsidiary company of SUMEC Co., Ltd. (“SUMEC”), successfully delivered the first CROWN 63, a new ship model, to CDB Leasing Co., Ltd. (“CDB Leasing”). This delivery marks the completion of 10 vessel deliveries by SUMEC Marine this year.

CROWN63 3.0

The CROWN series bulk carriers are the flagship products of the SUMEC Marine, featuring proprietary intellectual property rights and high construction standards. They have earned a strong reputation in the industry for their remarkable attributes of environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, and intelligence. Therefore, they are highly favored by shipowners worldwide.
The ship that SUMEC Marine built for CDB Leasing is CROWN63 3.0, a new version of the CROWN63 model. This new version has undergone various upgrades and demonstrates superior performance in multiple aspects:
Upgraded Indicators
This new ship model exhibits notable improvements in key indicators, including cargo capacity, speed, and fuel consumption, and it meets the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase 3 requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Tier 3 emission standards.
Excellent Design
The ship model incorporates green concepts and features an optimized hull design, further enhancing energy efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.
Comprehensive Configurations

During the 5-year collaboration between SUMEC Marine and CDB Leasing, a total of 40 vessels from the CROWN series have been successfully built. Shipowners have expressed their confidence that the CROWN63 3.0 model will further strengthen the fleet of CDB Leasing, contributing significantly to the company’s ship leasing operations.
