Successful Connection to the Grid in Pursuit of “Sunlight” and “Green!”

With the advent of spring, the Earth comes alive. On March 20, the Tianjin XINYU 18 MW Distributed Photovoltaic Project, built by SUMEC Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. (SUMEC Energy) affiliated to SUMEC Group Corporation (SUMEC), was successfully connected to the grid. This project takes an active part in the green and low-carbon development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The client, Tianjin XINYU Color Plate Co. Ltd. (XINYU), is a longstanding partner of SUMEC. This milestone event has further expanded the cooperation between the two sides. As the first photovoltaic project connected to the high-voltage grid in Xiqing District, Tianjin, the project, constructed on XINYU’s factory roofs, has a total installed capacity of 18MW. After completion, it is projected to generate 19.85 million kWh of electricity each year, resulting in a reduction of approximately 16,400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This project plays a significant role in the green transformation of XINYU.

When building the project, SUMEC Energy’s project team meticulously followed the guiding principles of “building a project is to erect a monument.” The team overcame challenges in work schedule, working environment, and adverse weather conditions. A scientific and sound construction plan was meticulously developed, taking into account the unique characteristics of each rooftop. Quality and safety were prioritized, and each section was constructed efficiently. Through these unwavering efforts, the project was successfully connected to the grid.
