Here again comes the season when strawberries are on the market in large quantities. In a plant factory full of fruits and vegetables in Pinghu, Zhejiang, strawberries ripen one batch after another. The fruits are bright and appealing in color, and aromatic, which make one’s mouth water. How do industrial production models collide with naturally grown berry plants to create different sparks? This has to start in 2019.
In recent years, in order to implement the rural revitalization strategy, Zhejiang has established the province’s first agricultural economic development zone in Pinghu, and Zhejiang Dongyu Guangchen Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dongyu Fruit Industry”) also found the opportunity to settle the plant factory here in 2019, and the “International New Variety Plant Research Institute and Industrialization Demonstration Park” project (hereinafter referred to as the “Plant Research Institute Project”) carried out by the two sides together landed, giving birth to a modern agricultural industry cooperation park.
Equipment import encountered difficulties
For a typical representative of scientific and technological agriculture, advanced agricultural technology and equipment are indispensable. According to the needs of the project, Dongyu Fruit Industry needs to introduce advanced European R&D and planting equipment such as dynamic spectral light source, spectral measuring instrument, multi-layer planting system, seeder and seedling moving machine in batches. There are many types of equipment, many batches, and complex procedures in each link.
“Coupled with the outbreak of the pandemic in early 2020, we were very worried that the equipment would not be delivered and shipped to the factory on time.” Ma Xinyuan, manager of the planting department of Dongyu Fruit Facilities, recalled, “If the equipment is not in place in time, our seedling refining process will be affected, and the seedlings that are continuously exposed to high temperature and humidity will be greatly damaged, resulting in huge losses. ”
