In recent years, the term “prepared dishes” has been gaining popularity. According to the group standard Prepared Dishes jointly drafted by the China Cuisine Association and multiple organizations, “prepared dishes” refer to “finished or semi-finished dishes that are made using one or more agricultural products as the main ingredients, employing standardized assembly line operations, undergoing pre-processing (such as cutting, mixing, marinating, kneading, shaping, seasoning, etc.) and/or pre-cooking (such as stir-frying, deep-frying, baking, boiling, steaming, etc.), and then being packaged.” Prepared dishes can be divided into four categories: ready-to-eat (such as eight-treasure porridge, canned food), ready-to-heat (such as quick-frozen rice dumplings, self-heating hot pot), ready-to-cook (semi-finished dishes that require heating and cooking), and ready-to-serve (such as pre-washed and pre-cut vegetables). Nowadays, an industrial chain of booming prepared dishes has been rapidly formed, in which various advanced production equipment is undoubtedly indispensable.
Supporting rural revitalization through cooperation with a strong food company
Beipiao City Hongfa Foodstuff Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hongfa Foodstuff”) was established in 2000. In April 2022, Hongfa Foodstuff once again responded to the national “supplementing, extending, and strengthening chains” project by launching a 50,000-ton prepared dishes project. The project has a total investment of RMB400 million, covering an area of 75 mu with a planned total construction area of 50,000 square meters. After the project reaches full production, it is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of RMB1 billion and provide employment for 400 people. This project not only marks the entry of Hongfa brand into a higher quality development stage, but also injects new momentum into the development of rural economy.
