Wu Gang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Southeast University, visited SUMEC

On December 7th, Wu Gang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Southeast University, led a team to visit Sumec Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC), and Zhao Weilin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of SUMEC, received Wu Gang and his entourage.

Wu Gang thanked SUMEC for its warm reception, affirmed SUMEC’s business performance, diversified development and corporate culture, and introduced the development of Southeast University. He also said that as a first-class university, Southeast University has obvious advantages in terms its disciplines, and hoped that the two sides will further strengthen cooperation and interaction, focus on intelligent manufacturing, new energy, environmental protection, Internet of Things, informatization and other fields, continue to promote the integration of industry, university and research, talent training, international market and other aspects, and further build and improve the long-term mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation.

Zhao Weilin welcomed the visit of Wu Gang and his entourage, and introduced in detail the company’s development overview, business situation and corporate culture in 2022. Zhao Weilin pointed out that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, SUMEC took “building a digitization-driven international industrial chain and supply chain, and becoming a dual-circulation benchmark enterprise in which domestic and overseas markets reinforce each other” as its strategic positioning, adhered to diversified development, professional operation and ecological win-win development, actively promoted digital transformation, and was committed to building a new capability system of “platform operation, ecological co-creation, and win-win value” to create new value for customers. Zhao Weilin mentioned that the comprehensive strength of Southeast University ranks it in the forefront of universities in China. It has long-standing, positive, cooperative strategic ties with SUMEC. It is hoped that the advantages of both parties will be further brought into play, and extensive and in-depth cooperation will be carried out around scientific and technological innovation, green development, industry-university-research integration, and talent training, and the two sides can work together to make a fresh progress of school-enterprise cooperation.
