The bulldozer imported by the customer is an overweight (72.38 tons), ultra-wide (3.24 meters), and ultra-high (3.37 meters) equipment, and has irregular dimensions and an unbalanced center of gravity. There are specific requirements for customs declaration, inspection, unloading, loading, transportation, and other links after the equipment arrives at Nansha Port, but Guangzhou Port Haijia Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nansha Automobile Terminal”) is doing so for the first time and has only had limited experience with such large-scale engineering equipment.

In order to better improve customer experience and satisfaction, SUMEC, with its profound experience in the import and export industry of mechanical and electrical equipment, thinks of difficulties and carries out works in advance. We kept an eye on the progress of the project at the beginning of the cooperation, made plans in advance, and jointly designed a logistics operation plan for customs clearance in cooperation with Nansha Customs, Nansha Automobile Terminal and the transportation fleet. Before the equipment arrived at the port, SUMEC also cooperated with logistics partners to arrange relevant experienced staff to actively cooperate with Nansha Customs at the terminal to review the customs clearance information in advance to ensure that after the equipment arrived in Hong Kong, procedures such as switch B/L, customs declaration, inspection declaration, inspection, and tax payment were promoted in the first time.

On the day of the equipment’s arrival at the port, Nansha Customs inspected it while unloading the ship. With the customs clearance efficiency of one release at one inspection, all import customs clearance operations were completed within one and a half hours, and the equipment was released on the same day when it arrived at the port. So far, SUMEC has helped customers to solve problems concerning unloading, loading, cargo safety, etc., and interpreted “SUMEC Speed” with practical actions!
